The Star Project
GOLO supports the Star Project
The Star Project provides year 7 - 11 pupils with enhanced life choices by providing day excursions to Haslemere Youth Centre where they undertake practical tuition in cookery and art. The children who have experienced a problematic time in education are drawn from a number of local schools including Rodborough in Milford and Broadwater in Farncombe. Pictured receiving a cheque (July 2011) to help with their support funding is Tracey Hills, Project Manager, two of the Star Project pupils and GOLO representatives.

Busy Bees Mothers & Toddlers
GOLO supports Busy Bees mother and toddler group Godalming
The popular Busy Bees toddlers group provides activities including workshops and trips designed to enhance learning for the children and provide support for parents resident in Ockford Ridge and Aarons Hill in Godalming. GOLO provided (June 2011) a donation to help this independent group cover running costs. St Marks Active Residents Team (SMART)
GOLO supports St Marks Active Residents Team SMART Godalming
GOLO presented (June 2011) a donation to SMART at the community centre in Aarons Hill, Godalming. The team support projects to benefit local residents, the latest of which is to launch a website for their Toy Library. This provides families who may not otherwise afford it loan of toys at a small fee to stimulate their child's development. Pictured is the team's chairperson Karen Milton and GOLO's Robert Park.
