Good Causes Donations
The Godalming Lottery makes donations to local good causes to assist them with their day-to-day activities. Recent donations from the GOLO Good Causes Fund are detailed over the following pages.
Go for Gold Funding
As the London Olympics draw ever nearer GOLO continues to support the invaluable work of Sport Godalming helping fund (February 2010) local young Olympic hopefuls. The Go for Gold Fund was set up by Sport Godalming to help towards the costs involved in ensuring our young athletes receive the training they need to attain world-class standards.
Denninberg Centre Computer
GOLO made a donation (January 2010) to provide a computer for use by the Denninberg drop-in centre for the elderly in Godalming.
Godalming First Responders
The Godalming First Responders, who are St John's Ambulance volunteers trained to attend emergency calls in the critical minutes before an ambulance can be despatched, received a GOLO donation (December 2009) towards purchasing an additional automated external defibrillator.
