Your support for GOLO has provided two more good causes with much appreciated help. In May the Godalming charity Skillway, who provide vocational training for 14 to 16-year-olds who might otherwise leave school without sufficient qualifications, received a contribution towards workshop improvements in the Victorian chapel they use for training. In the same month the Farncombe Day Centre were able to install a brand new computer for their retired customers to use to stay in touch with their relatives scattered around the world. GOLO was visited by BBC Radio Surrey for the April 2009 draw. Host of BBC Surrey's breakfast show Mark Carter came along to lend some support and broadcast a series of interviews live. GOLO chairman Steven Haines introduced GOLO then handed over to April's lucky £500 winner Tom Gregory and April's corporate sponsor Sarah Rickwood of Fitness Kids. Mark also interviewed Hilary Loder, the headteacher of Green Oak School, who was able to buy the school's first musical instruments thanks to a donation from the GOLO good causes fund.
